I'm Joy, I'm 31 years old, I'm Parisian but I've been living in Nice for 3 years. I'm the happy co-founder of Hercule Studio, a French brand of designer sports equipment. I love sports, design, and travel.
Your source of inspiration.
Professional deformation requires... (I was a consultant before launching Hercule Studio), I like to be informed and read a lot about everything; about new market, consumer, retail, product trends. I draw my inspiration from this very pragmatic, very down-to-earth side, and from more personal, more emotional things that attract me without really knowing why; shapes, materials, colors, architecture, design. For example, since I was little, I've been attached to objects or places that make me happy, sometimes personifying them, giving them names. It may seem strange but for me it's instinctive. These are the objects and places that inspire me.
Design
I believe that a desirable object brings together several tangible characteristics (shape, color, material...) and intangible ones (the moment associated with its discovery, what it emanates, what it makes us feel, the image conveyed by its brand, its timelessness, its manufacturing, the care taken in its creation...) For me, all these elements are important to create a desirable whole.
My definition of a design object would first and foremost be its timelessness, the fact that it crosses eras without losing value or desirability.
The senses
Hercule Studio expresses its creativity through as many senses as possible, when feasible. Sight, first of all, is constantly stimulated thanks to creations based on advanced and unique design research. Touch is expressed on the Archy and Galé products thanks to their unique texture. Scent, meanwhile, is awakened through the brand's olfactory identity, also a sanitizing and energizing spray. The Hercule Studio experience is lived at 360° to redefine the codes of sports practice in depth.
The sense that takes over most for me is smell, without hesitation!
The body-mind connection
I am a creature of habit. I like to surround myself with "totem" objects that reassure me, to establish life and work routines in places I like, with which my energies are aligned. I surround myself with people I consider benevolent and interesting. I don't like to clutter myself. Neither materially nor socially. "Bases" reassure me, allow me not to get distracted, to be aligned, in sync.
Your rituals
I take daily supplements (collagen, zinc, biotin...), I exercise 3-4 times/week (Pilates, yoga, boxing), I have a daily skincare routine that I never deviate from, I meditate whenever I can, I like to read to relax and escape, and I like to try out lots of new techniques that I adore but don't take the time to practice regularly (face yoga, Ayurvedic routines...)
Your signature treatment.
Without hesitation, my oil "Le Sud La Nuit"! I love its scent which transports me and represents exactly what I want to smell and who I want to be in summer. The scent is sensual, warm, refined and sophisticated at the same time. Refeel Naturals has managed to captivate my most sensitive sense, smell. Coupled with my desire for self-care, it's the perfect combination.
